Progress? Yes, there's progress.

Progress is such a funny word. "It's making good progress," is a phrase I find myself saying quite often. What does it mean though? Things are progressing, the bone is travelling, the pain is decreasing/increasing.
On Monday I'm going back to Stanmore for an x-ray, strut change and chat to Mr Calder. What we're looking for from this x-ray is to see that the bones have met and are pushed together. Frankly, after that terrifying pain the other day (after 9 days of distractions) I'm pretty sure they've met, so how much more of this I'll have to do after Monday I'm not sure. Today is day 14 of this program, out of 20 turnings and although I managed to have a couple of days off the really strong 12-hour release painkillers I only have 9 more tablets left, so I'm having to consider not taking them for the next couple of days in case I have another whole week of turning to do.
After this program is finished though, that's another bit of 'progress' to cross off the list.
