Nurse appointment
May. 26th, 2010 08:03 pmToday I met the Clinical Nurse Specialist at the Catterall Unit, Mary Chasseaud. It was a productive hour and a half, she explained a great many things about what is going on and how stuff works and gave me a real frame to hold. They're rather heavy. However, I've learnt a lot and realised a few things I'll be needing to do before the operation.
I think I'm a bit in shock still from knowing that actually, yes, I will be having an operation and it actually will be this year. I've kind of sat looking at this trying to decide what to write. There was a lot of information to digest and a few conflicting emotions in my head at the moment ("Hooray!" "Eek!" and "What have I let myself in for?!" spring to mind).
Perhaps I'll come back and write another post when I've collected thoughts more and can be coherent and logical about it.
