Hooray, physio letter has arrived! Yay Emma my physio :)
Dear Mr Calder
Thank you for the referral of the above patient. Their initial assessment was on 22.12.11 following removal of transport frame for tibio-talar fusion.
She initially presented with painful R foot aggravated by weight bearing and walking. Objective findings included stiff R midfoot, reduced mobility and weightbearing and weakness R quads, hamstrings, gluteals and core.
Treatment consisted of:
Modalities Outcomes Mobilisations * Symptom free Manipulation Greatly improved * Posture advice * Moderately improved Gait re-ed/stairs * No change Balance and proprioceptive training * Deteriorated Home exercise * DNA Acupuncture Failed to complete Long-term self management * Referred back Electrotherapy Referred locally Hydrotherapy *
Following physiotherapy and hydrotherapy K has done very well and achieved her goal of being confident to participate in the Buttercup walk. Her mobility and muscle strength have significantly improved and she is fully independent with her exercise program. I am therefore now discharging her from physio with advice to continue her exercises independently.
Yours sincerely
Emma Levy
