All change!
Oct. 19th, 2011 03:42 pmThere are feeeeeesh in the Plaster Theatre at RNOH. So today I went to clinic. I saw Mr Calder and Mary and had x-ray and new plaster cast done. And the best thing is about the plaster cast is that I can take it off when I want! Woo!
Started with this:

Then went to Plaster Theatre so they could cut it open with the saw and it became like this:

Then I had x-rays taken without the cast on at all:

And then I saw Mr Calder to review the x-rays:

This is a side view. The regenerate is much better formed, the cortices are looking strong. There's still the 'deformity' on the front of the bone but it's doing ok. You can see where the big middle pin was and the fusion area is starting to become bulbous, like the end of a bone (I never thought it would do that!).
Finally I went back to Plaster Theatre for the new cast:

Now I have to start getting my foot bones un-stiffened so I can make with the walking. And in a couple of weeks I could maybe have a bath!
