Social Media
Aug. 14th, 2011 08:10 pmOther than this blog, I keep friends updated with my leg's progress on Twitter. That account is @bodymodfraggles. I also occasionally use it to tweet at people or associations who don't follow my other twitter account (it is a locked account), sometimes people off the telly. Sometimes I even get replies! I've tweeted about trying to get into volunteering with the VSO and had some advice from their tweeter. I've also tweeted about things I've been watching on tv and had 'banter' with presenters. Those sorts of tweets are kind of awesome really because they're people I admire for their dedication to doing something they enjoy for a living.
Examples!
I watch Location, Location, Location and its variants on a regular basis. Even the older programmes are interesting because Phil and Kirstie tell the househunters off for being indecisive. Back in June I was watching a really old one and tweeted this:

I was quite surprised to have this reply:

I thinking I replied something along the lines of "Kirstie told them to sort their heads out" or something.
Anyway, another example from earlier this evening:

Hah! I said that was unfair because she has a vested interest and cheekily requested a mention of my blog here.
Well, it keeps me amused at least.
