Fluoro guided injections

I didn't particularly enjoy that, to be honest. They injected me with local anaesthetic and then the... stuff. Some sort of steroids. Into the joint. The local didn't particularly help. It hurt. The lovely radiographer (Donna) had to tell me to take some deep breaths at one point, I do tend to forget to breathe when it really hurts.
The one good thing was getting to see real time x-rays! The last one they took was of my ankle with a needle in it! Euw but awesome!! I didn't tell Dad about that bit, he started going a bit pale at the mention of local anaesthetic, so I left it at that for him, poor thing.
They gave me a sheet to record pain on a scale of 1 to 10 (with 10 being the Worst Pain Ever) afterwards. I was on a 7 before it, 0 straight after (hello? anaesthetic?), a 4 about two hours later and then I have to record it this evening before bed and in two weeks time. Then take this sheet of paper to the appointment in January. Hopefully I will be able to get pictures. Will request them at the appointment, as I'd really like to see the MRI ones! And the most recent X-rays as well (from today and September).
It snowed when we were at Stanmore. Very pretty, but rather jolly cold!!
